I led the logo redesign for Malibu Coastal Adventures, working closely with founder Dave through an iterative creative process to land on a mark that truly reflected his vision.
Early in the process it became clear that Dave wasn't drawn to minimalism — he wanted something rich and expressive, with a nod to his original branding through color and wildlife imagery. That kind of discovery is exactly what the best brand collaborations look like: arriving at the right answer together rather than assuming it up front. The final logo honors that evolution, and Dave has been genuinely thrilled with where it landed.
I also developed the brand's tagline — "Sea Life Differently" — which captures the heart of what Dave offers his clients: a completely new perspective on the California coast, experienced from the water.
